Around 19,000 potential buyers from 98 countries and regions and 115 agencies from 40 countries and regions will attend the 12th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), according to its organizer.

The total number of exhibitors at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center will reach 2,297, a new record, the organizer said. The fair, to be held from May 12 to 16, will revolve around five themes including expositions and transactions, forums, festivities, award evaluations and online activities.

The first two days will be open exclusively to professional visitors and the three days from May 14 to 16 will open to the public.

The fair, which covers 105,000 square meters, will be held in nine halls. For the first time, the organizer will designate Hall 5 as a special hall for makers in the cultural sector, which will showcase the latest achievements of domestic and overseas makers. Hall 5 will be divided into five exhibition areas, including a comprehensive exhibition area, maker exhibits, a maker carnival, an exhibition area for makers from Taiwan and innovative achievements of young talent.

Hall 4 is designated for countries on the route of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which has attracted 106 overseas exhibitors from 35 countries and regions. The countries will showcase cultural products and local specialties. The hall will also introduce tourist attractions in the Belt and Road countries.

As the only national, internationalized and integrated cultural industries fair in China, ICIF is committed to building a trade platform for China’s cultural industry products and projects, driving the development of China’s cultural industries and actively advancing the globalization of Chinese cultural products.
