Hotel organizes fashion exhibition
    2016-June-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

LANGHAM Place, Guangzhou, in collaboration with TUDOO SHOWROOM, presented, for the first time, a fashion exhibition called “The Art of Fashion,” highlighting two fashion styles, classic and contemporary.

The ongoing event brings the latest fashion trends and styles to center stage to convey the brand message of Langham Hotels and Resorts (LHR): “One Brand, Two Styles,” showcasing the aesthetic differences between The Langham and Langham Place, and delivering a distinctive brand image that distinguishes the level of luxury and sophistication that Langham offers.

Portal, the hotel lobby bar and the spiral staircase were utilized as a dazzling three-dimensional fashion runway for the opening party. Professional models presented three extraordinary fashion catwalks to showcase the impressive 2016 autumn and winter collections of over 15 fantastic designer brands, including CHEZ HEEZI, J WOO, NOIR, Tina Blossom, C/MEO COLLECTIVE, FINDERS KEEPERS, KEEPSAKE, and THE FIFTH. from South Korea, Australia and Thailand.

All invited guests were dressed in classic and contemporary styles, according to their preferences. Korean designers also provided a tutorial to share outfit-matching tips with guests onsite.

Inspired by the works of an illustrator and fashion designer from Jordan, Shamekh Bluwi, the hotel collaborated once again with the young contemporary paper-cutting artist, Guo Meng, to make a series of creative sketches of women whose dresses are cut in a way that the background is visible, rendering some parts of the bodies transparent.

Guests used most of the artwork in Portal with the hotel interior as their background.

Combining different styles, Portal was transformed into an art gallery and pop-up fashion display, presenting chic items from Korean and Thai designers.

High-profile Thai brand, TUBE GALLERY by Saxi and Phisit, features a distinct style that makes it a favorite among celebrities.

Another brand, SENADA, also highlights classic style with romantic and elegant elements. CHEZ HEEZIN is a Korean brand with a sophisticated feminine style and dramatic color palette.

The designer, HEEZIN, who studied at the Central St. Martins in London, used floral-print themes to cater to modern women.

J WOO, by Korean designer Jaewoo Kim, features metropolitan looks with unique silhouettes and exquisite details for contemporary women.

“Langham Place, Guangzhou always aims to provide ‘The Art of the Stay’ experiences to its guests. ‘The Art of Fashion’ is the first fashion and art-themed exhibition ever held at the hotel, after holding a photography exhibition, a show featuring figures made from colored drawings and paper-cut art exhibition. We would like to take this opportunity to enhance the guests’ experience and imagination and, at the same time, provide a high-end platform for fashion designers,” Ronnie Cheng, general manager of Langham Place, Guangzhou, said.(SD News)
