Greetings from Astoria!Tom Holland rides the subway on the NYC set of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming
    2016-September-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    “蜘蛛侠”纽约地铁取景,汤姆·霍兰德扮演15岁高中生

Tom Holland filmed his title role in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” while in and around the subway in New York’s Queens on Monday.

The 20-year-old Englishman was dressed casually in a white T-shirt, grey windbreaker, cuffed blue jeans, and Nike trainers.

In the name of authenticity, the “Edge of Winter” actor rocked (old-school) iPhone earbuds and clutched a Starbucks to-go cup just like a regular commuter.

Holland follows in the famous footsteps of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire to portray 15-year-old high-schooler Peter Parker, who transforms after being “bitten by a radioactive spider.”

The action star has previously dazzled audiences with performances in “In the Heart of the Sea,” “Wolf Hall,” “The Impossible,” and Billy Elliot on London’s West End.

Holland — who boasts 1.1 million followers on Twitter — also shared a sunset snap of himself in Manhattan’s Central Park captioned: “Perfect place for a FaceTime!”

Holland was joined, as ever, by his childhood BFF-turned-assistant Harrison Osterfield — who’s credited as a PA on the film and is rumored to be playing Harry Osborn.

On Friday, production relocated to New York from Pinewood Atlanta Studios where the British thespian acted with co-star Marisa Tomei who, at 51, is the youngest Aunt May Parker in Marvel history.

Holland first made his onscreen debut as the acrobatic, web-slinging superhero in “Captain America: Civil War,” which came out last spring.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” — hitting U.S. and U.K. theaters on July 17, 2017 — also features Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya Coleman, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress and Tyne Daly. (SD-Agencies)
