    ‘Rent’ on TV

FOX has announced a live TV production of the award-winning stage musical “Rent.” No airdate was specified, but it is likely to be telecast after “A Christmas Story,” which Fox has already planned for December.

“Rent” is set in New York’s gritty East Village and tells the story of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams during a time of social and political turmoil. It opened to great acclaim off-Broadway in 1996, then soon moved to Broadway. Marc Platt, who produced “La La Land” and Fox’s “Grease: Live,” will serve as one of its executive producers.

    Awards

THE excitement continues to build for next weekend’s Billboard Music Awards with news of John Legend and Florida Georgia Line performing a live duet at the awards show May 21, live from Las Vegas.

The unexpected duo is set to perform together alongside other locked-in performances from The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus and many more. Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens were announced as this year’s Billboard Music Awards hosts. It’s Luda’s fourth straight year in the role and Hudgens’ first go-round.

    Paris Jackson topless

PARIS JACKSON took to Instagram to share a revealing photo out on her balcony Friday.

“I’ll say it again for those questioning what I stand for and how I express myself. Nudity started as a movement for ‘going back to nature,’ ‘expressing freedom,’ ‘being healthier’ and was even called a philosophy. Being naked is part of what makes us human,” Michael’s daughter shared with her followers.

“For me it helps me feel more connected to Mama Gaia. I’m usually naked when I garden.”
