Refresh your palate with summer delicacies
    2017-May-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THIS summer, refresh your palate with seasonal delights at Langham Place, Guangzhou. From the Ming Court summer delicacies menu and “Power and Energy” French-themed dinner buffet to Thai and Vietnamese afternoon tea, a variety of summer delicacies to savor await diners.

At Ming Court, while the seasonal menu is inspired by classic Chinese dishes, chefs have added new twists by using the freshest summer ingredients, various kinds of mushroom dishes such as poached shrimp dumplings in mushroom and chicken soup, clay pot-braised ribs and mushrooms, fried giant grouper with mushrooms, XO sauce and scallions. Dishes with fruit ingredients make for exciting dining. Pan-fried prawn with passion fruit sauce truly works up an appetite. For the dish the chefs select mantis shrimps, each weighing 200g to 250g, pan-fry them until golden brown, and serve them with a passion fruit sauce.

The Open Kitchen presents the “Power and Energy” French-themed dinner buffet featuring French dishes in their original forms prepared with fresh ingredients imported from France.

Popular delicacies such as fresh oysters from Bretagne, France, Nicoise salad, coq au vin, Marseille-style prawns and pan-fried foie gras are all must-tries. Also worth mentioning is the dessert counter, which features dozens of traditional French sweets such as lemon tartlet with meringue and caramelized apple tartine.

In the afternoon, having tea with some good friends is always an appealing idea. Instead of traditional scones or desserts, the new Thai and Vietnamese afternoon tea set presents various Thai and Vietnamese snacks and desserts.

Guests can indulge in delicious Thai spring rolls and fried chicken sandwiches before continuing the feast with desserts like mango sticky rice, durian layer cake and more. (SD News)
