Selfeet
    2017-July-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A: I saw that photo you posted on Weibo last week. Where were you?

B: That selfeet was taken at Waikiki Beach. I took a short vacation after the final exams.

Note: “Selfeet,” a variation of “selfie,” refers to a photo of one’s shoes or one’s bare feet. Sometimes also called “shoefies,” the term reflects a popular form of downward selfie for the Instagram set among the shoe-gazing and footwear-obsessed — and perhaps those too shy for a full-on self-portrait. The trend is also popular in China, as you may notice such photos on WeChat Moments, often posted by young women who want to impress people as artistic and unique.
