Huan-Ming Yang is one of the leading genetics scientists in China, the chairman and co-founder of the Beijing Genomics Institute and chief coordinator of the Chinese Hybrid Rice Genome Consortium. He is also secretary-general of the Chinese Human Genome Project (HGP).
