Jones joins Qingdao Doublestar
    2017-August-4  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

TERRENCE JONES, former player with the NBA’s Houston Rockets, has signed a contract with Qingdao Doublestar, a club in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), the club announced Wednesday.

Jones will play for the team for at least one season, according to the club.

Born Jan. 9, 1992, Jones played for the Houston Rockets for four seasons. He averaged 12.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in the 2013-14 NBA season.

After leaving Houston, Jones played for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Previously, Qingdao Doublestar signed a contract with Jonathan Gibson, who played for the Dallas Mavericks in his last season in the NBA.

Gibson played for Qingdao Doublestar in the 2015-16 CBA and he is the first CBA player to average 40 plus points per game.

With two powerful foreign players, Qingdao Doublestar hopes to get a better position in the CBA next season. Last season, the club was in 12th place.(Xinhua)
