THE 19th China International Optoelectronic Expo (CIOE) opened yesterday at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, highlighting six concurrent expos and one photonics innovation pavilion presenting the entire optoelectric ecosystem.

Covering more than 110,000 square meters, the four-day fair, which features 1,600 exhibitors that bring 3,200 brands from 30 countries and regions, is expected to attract more than 60,000 visitors and buyers.

This year, the CIOE has unveiled its first Data Center Ecosystem Experience Zone, aiming to build a platform for communication and exchanges with forums and exhibitions. The one-stop zone not only showcases cutting-edge products from the entire industry chain, but also maps out data center themed visiting routes.

For professionals and visitors from the consumer electronics industry, the expo has set up three mobile phone and automotive themed visiting routes, which are aimed to help visitors find the right exhibitors and products more efficiently.

To better promote the development of the laser industry, the CIOE has specifically launched the Lasers Technology and Intelligent Manufacturing Expo, with a focus on laser precision processing and its innovative applications in different areas.

In addition, six delegations from Germany, Denmark, Canada, South Korea, the United States and China’s Taiwan will present the most advanced technologies and products in the industry. The New York State Empire State Development from the United States is participating in the event for the first time with 11 top-notch optical and photonics companies. The Korean Pavilion focuses on lenses, camera modules and optical products. And 13 enterprises from Germany have gathered in the German Pavilion, which makes its seventh appearance at the expo.

During the event, more than 20 conferences and forums will be held. The CIOE has also organized a number of interactive on-site activities for visitors, such as an optical lens application design contest and a stunning 360 degrees dome theater.

As the world’s largest optoelectronic exhibition, the CIOE is an annual meeting for global optoelectronic professionals to connect with business partners and discover future trends in the field.
