Mayday

Taiwanese pop-rock band Mayday will perform two nights of shows in Longgang District.

Photos by Robert Capa (1913-1954), a Hungarian war photographer and photojournalist, are on display. Arguably the greatest combat and adventure photographer in history, he subsequently covered five wars, including the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in China, with his photos published in major publications. Capa later co-founded Magnum Photos in Paris, the first cooperative agency for worldwide freelance photographers.

‘Fresh Vision’

Thirty-one graduates majoring in fine arts from domestic academies are now showcasing their creations. With the theme of “antibody,” this year’s exhibition focuses on individual spirit and attitude in art creation.

Old photo exhibition

“Impressions of the Eras,” an exhibition featuring 100 photos of China taken from 1880 to 1988, is being held at Yuezhong Museum of Historical Images. The photos are on loan from the Old Photos magazine in Shandong Province. The museum is a nonprofit institute that focuses on collecting and studying photos of historical value.

Dates: Until Nov. 20
