Wade signs with Cavaliers
    2017-September-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

DWYANE WADE has reached an agreement to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a one-year, US$2.3 million deal, NBA reporter Shams Charania said on Twitter on Tuesday.

Wade was initially signed to play out the final year of his contract with the Chicago Bulls after picking up his player option earlier this offseason. However, after the team traded away all-star Jimmy Butler and committed to a full-rebuild mode, he had a change of heart. Wade worked with the Bulls on a buyout. After giving up approximately US$8-10 million of his US$23.8 million contract, the two sides came to an agreement.

The buyout allowed Wade to hit the open market to find an opportunity to join a title contender. Reports had him linked to three teams: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs. In the end, he decided that the best fit for him was in Cleveland.(SD-Agencies)
