Miyazaki reveals next feature
    2017-November-3  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

JAPANESE animation legend Hayao Miyazaki, 76, who has come out of retirement again, unveiled the title of his next feature at the opening of the Natsume Soseki Memorial Museum at Tokyo’s Waseda University.

The full-length animated feature will be called “How Do You Guys Live?” The film is named for a book with the same title by Genzaburo Yoshino, published in 1937.

“The film is about how this particular book featured prominently in the protagonist’s life. It will take three to four years to complete the anime,” said Miyazaki at the event.

Yoshino was an editor and writer of children’s literature, as well as a journalist and editor of an influential progressive monthly magazine in the post-war period.

Miyazaki acknowledged earlier this year that he was working on a new anime feature, after having announced his retirement in 2012 on completion of “The Wind Rises.”
