SAIS students a big hit at Maker Faire
    2017-November-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Students from Shenzhen American International School (SAIS) spent three days at the Shenzhen International Maker Faire showcasing their talents as makers.

Surrounded by 200 booths from 30 countries showing high-tech products and showcasing some of the best brains from universities around the world, SAIS students as young as 4 years old were the center of crowds of visitors as they put on live demonstrations of furniture making, arcade game prototyping, iPad movie making, stuffed toy production and live music on Cajon drums produced by grade 4 students.

“To meet the new workplace challenge, students from Shenzhen American International School exhibited not only their work and live skills but illustrated confidence beyond their years in presenting and fielding questions to a mainly adult audience of visitors,” said SAIS principal Darin Schmidt.
