Underwater drone camera captures you in HD
    2017-November-22  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The world’s first autonomous and wireless diving drone will hit the market next summer, according to its creators.

The iBubble camera automatically follows your underwater adventures, recording in high-definition (HD*) and framing the best shots as you go.

It is aimed at everyone from professional divers to amateurs*, although the US$2,600 price tag may deter* less committed aquatic explorers.

Designed by Notilo Plus, based in Grenoble, France, the iBubble can descend to 60m, which is more than deep enough to cover the 40m maximum depth recommended for recreational* divers. Gliding with you, the drone analyzes your moves, sharing with your friends what you see and where you are.

It can travel at speeds of up to 3.5 km/h and has a range time of up to one hour. The iBubble camera shadows you via a connected bracelet you wear round your wrist while diving. Other features of the drone include 360-degree selfies, zoom-in and zoom-out and a variety of filming modes.

In a written statement, a company spokesman said: “As a passionate scuba diver, you want to explore the wonders of the marine world, to admire its beauty and at the same time to capture every moment. The iBubble camera enables you to do just that. It follows you autonomously and captures your dive in a beautiful professional manner from different angles. While you enjoy your marine experience, this smart wireless drone with camera and lights captures the moments for you.”

The gadget is expected to reach consumers by July 2018.
