Dazed drunk driver

A DRIVER accidentally “turned himself in” to the traffic police by bumping his vehicle into a pillar in front of a building belonging to the Shenzhen Traffic Police on Saturday night.

When a police officer approached the sedan to see if anyone was hurt, he found the driver showed signs of drunk driving. An alcohol test found that the driver’s blood alcohol content reached 243 mg per 100 ml. The driver had been driving under the influence of alcohol.

Tanker truck accident

A TANKER truck filled with natural gas overturned after rear-ending a sedan on Jihe Expressway. The truck hit the barrier and crashed into another vehicle in the opposite lane of the expressway.

The two men in the second car were left stuck in the car. By the time firefighters arrived at the scene to rescue the trapped men, the man sitting in the passenger seat was found conscious, while the driver had lost consciousness due to losing too much blood. The two victims were later transferred to a hospital.

Civilized campus

SHENZHEN University (SZU) was awarded the title of “National Civilized Campus” on Nov. 17, the university announced yesterday. Only 39 universities around China received the special title for their efforts to cultivate students’ civility and core socialist values.
