Man busted for injuring another
    2018-January-9  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A MAN who had injured the head of the mediator in a quarrel with another man was busted at Shenzhen Railway Station last week after more than a month in hiding.

“I hit him on impulse. I did not intend to break his head, so I fled,” said the man, surnamed Li, during the police’s interrogation.

The incident happened in Jiangxi Province on Nov. 25, 2017. The 43-year-old Li was squabbling with another man over a trivial issue when he picked up a stone from the roadside and threw it at him.

However, the stone hit the man’s brother, who was coming to stop the fight. Li was frightened when he saw the mediator’s head continue to bleed, so he ran away without thinking.

Li confessed that he was very upset when he learned he had caused an injury to the man. He said he did not realize he had violated the law and was wanted by the police. (Zhang Yu)
