Roadside parking

BUJI Subdistrict in Longgang District designated 707 roadside parking spaces on 20 road sections in the subdistrict to relieve parking difficulties.

Drivers can use the parking app “宜停车” for free parking until March. The fees will officially start in April.

Document forgers

THREE people were put under criminal detention by Bao’an police recently for illicitly profiting 2 million yuan (US$308,000) by forging cargo delivery documents.

On Dec. 20, Bogang Police Station received a report from Yu, who claimed that his company had caught two suspects who had cheated them out of 2 million yuan by forging used copper delivery receipts. The copper delivered to the company was actually worth 300,000 yuan. The forged receipts used for the settlement caused Yu to lose 2 million yuan.

Police detained the third suspect Dec. 29.

Garbage rule enforced

SHENZHEN urban administration will start checks at housing estates over garbage classification starting this week.

Those who fail to enforce garbage classification rules and refuse to follow rectification orders from the administration will face fines up to 10,000 yuan starting Saturday, following a one-week grace period.
