Jobseekers offered average monthly salary of ¥9,030
    2018-January-11  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE average salary offered in Shenzhen during the winter job-hunting season last year was 9,030 yuan (US$1,389) per month, the third highest among 37 major cities in China, the Shenzhen Evening News reported yesterday.

A report released by zhaopin.com Tuesday showed that 24.9 percent of jobseekers in Shenzhen were offered a monthly salary between 6,000 and 8,000 yuan during last year’s winter job-hunting season. Meanwhile, 39.2 percent were offered a salary of above 8,000 yuan per month, and 30.2 percent were offered a monthly salary between 4,000 and 6,000 yuan.

According to the report, people who worked for intermediary service agencies received the highest monthly salary, at 12,291 yuan. Those who worked in trust, guarantee, auction companies and pawn shops earned the second-highest salary, at 11,951 yuan per month, followed by those in fund, securities, futures and investment companies, with an average monthly salary of 11,391 yuan.

The report also showed that the computer software industry had the highest competitive index in Shenzhen during the winter job-hunting season last year, as more jobseekers had become interested in this industry following the rapid development of emerging technologies in the city. (Zhang Yang)
