Sexual harassment

A TEACHER, identified as Tan, 23, has been arrested and handed over to the people’s procuratorate for prosecution for allegedly sexually harassing a 4-year-old child in a kindergarten in Guangming New Area last November, according to Xinhu Police Station.

Xinhu Police Station received an allegation Nov. 3 from the mother of the child claiming that she suspected that her daughter had been assaulted. Police initiated an investigation and later arrested the suspected teacher of the kindergarten.

CO poisoning

SHENZHEN Medical Emergency Center received emergency calls for eight carbon monoxide poisoning cases Tuesday and Wednesday as temperatures in the city dropped to a low of 6 degrees Celsius. The victims all passed out while taking showers due to carbon monoxide poisoning. They all survived after timely and proper treatment.

Doctors reminded residents to maintain ventilation while taking a shower.

110 hotline helps

THE 110 hotline for the Shenzhen police command center helped look for 15,000 people who were reported missing and prevented 911 people from attempting to commit suicide last year, according to 110 Publicity Day, which was organized by the Shenzhen police Wednesday.
