My favorite book
    2018-January-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

“The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” was written by C. S. Lewis, a famous writer at the time of World War II. It is the second book in “The Chronicles of Narnia.”

The book is mainly about four children — Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter — who wander into the land of Narnia, through a plain wardrobe.

One time, Lucy hides in a wardrobe and discovers a land in it — the land of Narnia. She walks into it and finds snow, trees and a faun named Mr. Tumnus. But when she comes back, nobody believes her stories. But once, Edmund hides in the wardrobe for hide-and-seek, and then finds himself walking in the snow. He meets the White Witch, who is evil and bad.

A long time later, the four children go into the wardrobe together and into Narnia. They find a beaver, who is kind and tells them many stories, and Aslan, the king of Narnia.

At the end of the book, they have a great battle with the White Witch and win. So Peter, Lucy, Edmund and Susan become the kings and queens of Narnia.

I like Aslan the lion because he is brave. He doesn’t show any desperation or lose his faith in the end of the story. I also like Mr. Tumnus because he is funny and cute, and is very kind to the children in the story.

I like this story because it is like a dream and to be honest I like all the creatures in this story, especially the fauns!
