Interactive activities of ‘Eating Design’
    2018-February-1  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Dutch designer Marije Vogelzang is exhibiting her works at the “Eating Design” exhibition. The exhibition is open to visitors Tuesday to Sunday until March 4, but the OCT Art & Design Gallery only facilitates interactive “eating” activities on certain dates: Feb. 4, Feb. 25 and March 4.

Vogelzang, hailing from Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands, has been engaging in eating design and subjects surrounding food and eating, such as psychology, ritual, agriculture, etiquette, history and ecology, for 20 years. This is her first time exhibiting her eating-themed projects in China.

Some of Vogelzang’s works provoke humans’ sensuous sides or make connection between people through co-feeding. Other projects question the food industry and conventional health.

The events charge the same tickets as the exhibition.

Exhibition hours: 10 a.m.-

5:30 p.m., closed Mondays
