Kan Tai-keung’s works

Hong Kong designer Kan Tai-keung is exhibiting his ink paintings and calligraphic works. Influenced by his clay sculptor grandfather, Kan developed a passion for painting in his childhood.

Dates: Until March 15

Design exhibitions

Two design-themed exhibitions, “Minding the Digital” (until June 3) and “Values of Design” (until next year), are being held in Shekou. Drawing from the V&A’s extensive collection in London, “Values of Design” features over 250 objects from year 900 to the present. “Minding the Digital” brings visitors into a novel world of immersive experiences shaped by digital technologies.

‘The Eastern Again’

Viewers at “The Eastern Again” ceramic art show at J Space can witness the crossover of Chinese ceramics into the realm of sculpture, installation and even painting, a new twist on their traditional forms as containers or vessels.

Dates: Until Feb. 10

Hours: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Venue: J Space, Building C-8, Wenchang Street, North Area, OCT-LOFT, Nanshan District (南山区华侨城创意文化园北区文昌街C-8栋)

SZ Museum exhibitions

More than 100 ancient wood, porcelain and copper-gilt Guanyin statues and paintings on loan from Capital Museum in Beijing are on display until Feb. 28. Anther exhibition of ancient Italian ceramics is being held until March 25. The ceramics are on loan from the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza.
