UABB in Yantian

Themed “Village As Kitchen,” the 2017 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (UABB) at the Yantian subvenue features contemporary artists’ paintings, videos and installations. The exhibition aims to explore a new possibility for the development of urban villages.

Dates: Until March 3

Venue: Dameisha Village, Yantian District (盐田区大梅沙村)

New media art

International artists are exhibiting their videos, installations and graphic art at the 2017 OCT-LOFT Creative Festival’s exhibition “The Imagined Future Is Not the Future,” visualizing our future and showing their concern for this technologically advancing world.

Dates: Until March 8

Venues: C2, North Area, OCT-LOFT, Nanshan District (南山区华侨城创意文化园北区C2)

Bologna illustrations

More than 430 illustrations created by international illustrators are on display. The exhibition not only features 386 award-winning pieces from the 2016 Bologna Illustration Awards, but also shows 50 masters’ works from the past 50 years since the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition’s initiation in 1967.

Dates: Until Feb. 28

Tickets: 88 yuan

‘Eating Design’

Dutch designer Marije Vogelzang is exhibiting her eating-related installations at the “Eating Design” exhibition. The artist explores subjects surrounding food and eating, such as psychology, ritual, agriculture, etiquette, history and ecology.

Dates: Until March 4

Tickets: 8-15 yuan, free to the public Tuesdays
