Major flower markets in town

As a symbol of prosperity, Chinese people often use a variety of flowers to adorn their homes and welcome the Chinese New Year. Now, every district in Shenzhen has opened Spring Festival flower markets until Feb. 15 where people can select from a vast variety of flowers at cheap prices.

Futian District

Venue: Huanggang Village, Futian District (福田区皇岗村)

Metro: Line 7, Huanggang Village Station (皇岗村站), Exit D

Luohu District

Venue: Bibo Street 1, Huangbei Subdistrict, Luohu District (罗湖区黄贝街道碧波一街)

Metro: Line 5, Yijing Station (怡景站), Exit D

Nanshan District

Nanshan Flower World’s market has 280 birds and artistic stone stores as well as hundreds of flower varieties.

Venue: Nanshan Flower World, 3008 Yueliangwan Boulevard, Nanshan District (南山区月亮湾大道3008号南山花卉世界)

Metro: Line 1, Daxin Station (大新站), Exit B

Bao’an District

Stores in Fuzhongfu Flower World sell New Year scrolls, festive oranges and flowers.

Venue: Fuzhongfu Flower World, Baoyuan Road, Bao’an District (宝安区宝源路福中福花卉世界)

Metro: Line 1, Bao’an Sports Center Station (宝体站), Exit B

Longgang District

East Shenzhen Flower World occupies 76,000 square meters and is divided into five sections for flowers, birds, fish, stones and gardening resources.

Venue: East Shenzhen Flower World, Longnan Road, Longgang District (龙岗区龙南路深圳东部花卉世界)

Metro: Line 3, Shuanglong Station (双龙站), Exit B and then take a taxi

Yantian District

Haitao Garden’s flower market sells unique flowers like the Dutch hyacinth, Guizhou peony and azalea. This is a smaller flower market but consumers can find special goods for the Spring Festival.

Venue: Haitao Garden, Haijing Road 2, Shatoujiao, Yantian District (盐田区沙头角海景二路海涛花园)

Metro: Line 2, Xinxiu Station (新秀站), Exit B and then take a bus or taxi

Longhua District

Venue: Longhua Plaza Road 1, Longhua District (龙华区龙华广场一路)

Metro: Line 4, Qinghu Station (清湖站), Exit C and then take a taxi

Pingshan District

As a large flower and garden center, the market in Pingshan Sports Center has 50 stores. Phalaenopsis, chrysanthemum, anthurium and yacaa bonsai are available here.

Venue: Pingshan Sports Center, Pingshan District (坪山区坪山体育中心)

Dapeng New Area

Venue: Kuichong Office, Dapeng New Area (大鹏新区葵涌办事处)
