Futian station

A STAFFER from the Futian High-speed Railway Station reminded passengers to take public transport to the station as there are no parking spaces available there.

The station will have more passengers this year than in 2017, with daily peak hours from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the Spring Festival traffic rush.

Old village renovation

A SET of measures was rolled out recently by the city’s Land Planning Commission to cover all districts with the regulations identifying old villages for urban renewal.

Compared with the former measures that only covered four districts inside the original Special Economic Zone, the new document is believed to speed up urban renovation around the city.

Firework ban

FUTIAN police raided shops to crack down on the illegal sale of fireworks and firecrackers on the night of Feb. 7.

According to the police, a total of 668 places were checked with 542 hidden dangers spotted. The police also distributed pamphlets to raise public awareness of the fireworks ban.
