Art and technology

At “The Ecstasy of Time: Reshaping the Medium of Knowing” exhibition, 11 artists rethink the interfaces we use to understand the way technology alters our perceptions of nature while also highlighting its effect on the social, ethical and cultural dimensions of our society.

UABB in Nanshan

The 2017 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (UABB) includes an exhibition that fuses architecture, art and design. The UABB represents a call for the development of a diverse, inclusive and vigorous urban ecosystem that not only shows reverence to humanity and history, but also promotes the coexistence of urban culture, society and public spaces.

Dayabao art

“No. 2A Dayabao Hutong: Memories of the 20th Century Chinese Artists,” a photo and painting exhibition at Guan Shanyue Art Museum, tells the stories of Chinese fine arts masters who lived together at No. 2A Dayabao Hutong in central Beijing from the late 1940s to the 1980s.

Dates: Until March 4

‘Eating Design’

Dutch designer Marije Vogelzang is exhibiting her eating-related installations at the “Eating Design” exhibition. The artist explores subjects surrounding food and eating, such as psychology, ritual, agriculture, etiquette, history and ecology.

Dates: Until March 4

Tickets: 8-15 yuan, free to the public Tuesdays
